Oh what a night!

Wild'n Free, Red Shoes Studios and Buffalo Field Campaign celebrated our second art gala in beautiful Boulder, Colorado on October 22, 2016.  The gorgeous Rembrandt Yard hosted our event and Blackbelly Market made sure our taste buds were tingled!

With over 10 artists from across the country, our live and silent auctions were a huge success and raised thousands of dollars for Buffalo Field Campaign.  New sponsorship from the Colorado Cannabis Collective, participation from the finest restaurants in Boulder, hand crafted bourbon, beer, and wine from Buffalo Trace, Sanitas, and Scarpetta, a coming together of West Yellowstone businesses for an outstanding fly fishing package and longtime BFC supporter, Patagonia, supplying us with trucker caps and Better Sweaters, we raised our glasses and kicked up our heels in honor for America’s Last Wild Bison and the important work of Buffalo Field Campaign.

Not only did guests enjoy buffalo inspired art, fine food, beer, wine and cannabis, but also were treated to many special guests.  A live artist created art in real time, a portrait artist offered complimentary portraits, a candle maker offered her wares, and a duet from the Denver Symphony Orchestra as well as a jazz trio delighted us with their music.

In addition, BFC co-founder and campaign coordinator, Mike Mease, flew in for the gala and gave an inspirational talk.  He opened by having all in attendance show their commitment to Wild'n Free buffalo by roaring, bringing our gathering together in laughter and joy.  Thia Martin, WnF founder, premiered her new short film at the event as well.  This short was not only powerful but informative and left not a dry eye in the house.

Overall, it was an evening of celebration.  A celebration of wild free born buffalo and the twenty years of work Buffalo Field Campaign has offered in honor and respect to our National Mammal.

BFC would like to offer a special thank you to Thia Martin.  Without her vision, her passion, and her patronage, we would never be able to make our largest fundraising event of the year happen.  Thank you, Thia, for your love and devotion to the buffalo and to our buffalo family.

We hope to see you all in Boulder for our 20th Anniversary celebration next fall...or in West Yellowstone for our Memorial Day Weekend anniversary party in the field, with the buffalo.
